Description

Carara National Park is a National Park in the Central Pacific Conservation Area located near the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. It was established on April 27, 1978, as a biological reserve, but its growing popularity after 1990 forced the government to upgrade its status to a national park due to a large number of tourists who visited it. Carara is located about 30 miles west of the Costa Rican capital of San José and about 15 miles north of the coastal city of Jaco.

The park protects the Tárcoles river basin, near Orotina and includes one of the largest populations of exotic birds, including scarlet macaws left in the country. This tour can be combined with another tour that includes crocodile sighting. The park has a number of beautiful trails where you can enjoy the flora and fauna, it is a great place for wonderful photographs! Come and visit this beautiful place, we will take you!
